Class News, 8/25-8/29

Kindergarten

ELA- We will spend the first few weeks of school practicing/learning/writing letters. I will also be assessing the students' reading skills to meet the needs of those who can already read. 

Math- We will practice writing and counting numbers to five in the coming weeks. 

Music- The kids have music each Monday before lunch. 

PE- Tuesday and Thursday are our PE days.

Library- Our class will visit the school library Tuesday mornings.

4th Grade

ELA-We will begin our first anthology story next week. This week we will focus on writing a random autobiography and fall writing sample.  

Homework- 
Spelling, due Friday
James and the Giant Peach- Read Ch. 1-5 and answer questions (complete sentences)
Math, daily (check planner)

Kinder is in full swing already! We've been getting to know each other and learning the classroom routines.

Fourth Grade

I'm excited to begin teaching 4th grade next week! We will write a random autobiography, complete a fall writing sample, and get to know each other better.  I'm looking forward to seeing how my first kindergarten class has grown!
