Class News, Feb. 3-7

Kindergarten

Math
We will practice finding differences and using the minus sign this week.

ELA
The students will meet Zelda Zebra this week. Dudley says /z/. Students will also learn the sight word have.  

We've been practicing the -ig word family. Ask your child to tell you some -ig words!

Sounds Learned: /s/, /m/, /r/, /t/, /b/, /n/, /h/, /a/ (short), /v/, /k/ (spelled with C), /p/, /g/, /f/, /l/, /k/ (spelled with K), /i/ (short), /kw/ (spelled with Q), /d/, /z/
Sight Words Learned: I, see, my, like, a, to, and, go, is, here, for, have

Science/Social Studies 
We will learn about flowers, seeds, and George Washington.

Important Dates 
  • Minimum Day: Feb. 14th (Thursday schedule)
  • Presidents' Break: Feb. 17th-21st (no school)
4th Grade

Mr. Glass' Surgery
Mr. Glass is having elbow surgery Friday, Feb. 7th. He doesn't know how long he will be away from school. It could be a few days or a week. It all depends on how he feels after surgery. Please email me if you have any questions- sarahradon@yahoo.com.
