Class News, 10/20-10/24

Kindergarten

ELA- Today we met Tiggy Tiger. Tiggy says /t/. We also learned the sight word my.

Sounds Learned: /s/, /m/, /r/, /t/

Sight Words Learned: I, see, my

Math- We will continue to practice writing and counting numbers to 10, and we'll discuss flat and solid shapes. 

Halloween- There will be a Halloween parade and party on Friday, Oct. 31st. Students are allowed to come to school in their costume, but it must comply with the school dress code. Toy weapons are not allowed at school. The parade will be at 10:30, and parents are welcome to attend. Our class party will be after the parade. We'll eat some treats and watch It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. If you are interested in providing a treat for the class, please email me at sarahradon@yahoo.com.

ELA- The Daedalus and Icarus test is this Friday. A study guide will be in the ELA journal Wednesday.

3rd Annual 4th Grade PE Basketball Tournament

The basketball tourney was a succes! Though some eyes got poked and some knees were skinned, the kids played hard and had fun! It went so well, we may have another tournament in the spring. 🏀🏆🏀

ELA- We began reading Daedalus and Icarus today. The ELA test for this story will be given 10/24.

Though I teach ELA, Mr. Glass helps me with some assignments that are related to ELA. Here is a list of subjects that Mr. Glass and I are responsible for:
