Class News, Jan. 26-30

Kindergarten

ELA- This week we will practice Larry Lion and Iggy Iguana. Larry says /l/ and Iggy says /i/ (short). We will also practice the sight word is


Sounds Learned: /s/, /m/, /r/, /t/, /b/, /n/, /h/, /v/, /k/ (spelled with C), /p/, /g/, /l/, /i/ (short)

Sight Words Learned: I, see, my, like, a, to, and, go, is

Word Families Learned: -at (hat, sat, bat, mat, rat, etc.), -an (can, man, pan, ran, van, etc.), -it (fit, hit, kit, sit, etc.)

Math- We will practice addition and subtraction stories.

Important Days
100th Day of School: Tuesday, Feb. 3rd (Note went home today.)
Winter Break: No School 2/16-20

4th Grade

ELA- We started studying The First Californians yesterday.  The test will be Friday, Feb. 6th. 

Missions Project- The due date for the mission project is incorrectly listed on the description sheet.  The project is due Friday, Feb. 27th!

Kindergarten

ELA- This week we will practice Gertie Goose. Gertie says /g/. We will also practice the sight word go

Sight Words Learned: I, see, my, like, a, to, and, go

Word Families Learned: -at (hat, sat, bat, mat, rat, etc.), -an (can, man, pan, ran, van, etc.)

Math- We will practice counting on, ways to make 10, telling time to the hour and identifying solid and flat shapes.

4th Grade

ELA- We will continue our study of What Rot!  The ELA test for this story is Friday.  

Missions Project- The due date for the mission project is incorrectly listed on the description sheet.  The project is due Friday, Feb. 27th!

Missions- We will spend the next two weeks organizing our research and planning the reports.  All report writing will be done in class. The mission project is the only thing that needs to be completed at home!
