Class News, Sept. 16-20

Kindergarten

Math
We will continue to learn/review numbers 1-5 this week.  Students will be tested on these concepts Friday.  The test will be sent home next week.

ELA
Our focus for this week is Uu, Vv, Ww, Xx, Yy, and Zz.  We will practice identifying upper and lower case letters, rhyming words, and words with the same beginning sound.  On Wednesday we'll read We Can Make It.  A copy of this book will be sent home.

Walk-a-Thon
Walk-a-Thon pledges are due tomorrow!  

8th Grade Book Drive
Information went home last week regarding the 8th grade book drive.  Please send children's books that "are no longer used at home" to school.  Their goal is to collect 600 books.

Library Books
Library books are due each Wednesday.  

Homework
Homework is due each Friday.

Important Dates
  • Picture Day: Tuesday, Sept. 17th
  • Walk-a-Thon (school fundraiser): Thursday, Oct. 3rd 
  • No School: Friday, Oct. 11th
  • Special Bell Schedule: Oct. 28th-31st (Thursday release time each day, 12:05 or 12:45)
  • No School: Friday, Nov. 1st

4th Grade

ELA
We'll finish up our Mrs. Frisby and the Crow unit this week.  Notes pertaining to this story will posted Wednesday afternoon.

Homework/Tests
  • Unit 4 Spelling pages (37,38,40,41), test Friday
  • Chapter 1 Social Studies Test on Friday (Study guide will be copied into notes on Monday.  The study log will go home on Monday and should be signed each day by a parent.
  • Mrs. Frisby and The Crow ELA test Friday

Walk-a-Thon
